Board member responsibilities are outlined below to reflect the current need of the organization.
TERM: 1 year, may be elected to a second term.
REPORTS TO: Board Chair
WEEKLY ESTIMATED COMMITMENT: up to 2 hrs/mo; 3 hrs/mo for Exec Comm.,
Board Meetings are both virtual and in-person (based on the need and the availability).
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Share your talents, gifts & expertise to further the mission of SEEDS
Set policy and monitor compliance with policies and law
Approve and monitor budget
Participate in creating a strategic vision for the organization
Evaluate effectiveness in accomplishing board approved objectives
Learn about the history of SEEDS, the neighborhood, our partners and new opportunities
Know SEEDS' by-laws
Be informed and educated about SEEDS' areas of concern.
FINANCIAL OVERSITE
Maintain Charitable Solicitation license
Ensure financial policies are followed and appropriate oversite is maintained.
Stay informed about development efforts and donor outreach.
