SEEDS acknowledges the vital role of collaborating with and supporting other organizations in Durham to amplify collective efforts and maximize benefits for the entire community.
About SEEDS Community Partnerships
SEEDS invites community groups, organizations, and nonprofits to partner with us and utilize our space free of charge for meetings during normal operating hours. Partnerships allow eligible groups to reserve rooms for up to 3 hours, twice a month, with bookings available up to 8 weeks in advance. While SEEDS programming takes priority, we are excited to share our space to support the community. Donations are welcome but not required.
Initially, SEEDS will accept up to 5 community partners on a first-come, first-served basis. After six months, we will evaluate capacity to increase availability. A waitlist will be maintained, and new opportunities will be communicated promptly as they arise.
Community Partners are chosen based on the following:
Mission Alignment: Groups focusing on youth empowerment, food justice, local food access, organic agriculture, environmental issues, education, children, equity, and Durham-specific initiatives.
Proximity to SEEDS: Preference is given to organizations that operate close by.
Previous Relationship: Priority for groups we’ve collaborated with in the past or that align with SEEDS programming goals.
Mutual Mission Support: Partnerships that enhance SEEDS’ mission are highly valued.
Eligibility Criteria
Initial Inquiry: Fill out SEEDS’ interest form.
Exploration Meeting: If your needs align with SEEDS’ mission and availability, we will schedule a meeting.
Agreement: Upon mutual agreement, SEEDS will draft a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlining expectations, policies, and space-use requirements.
Implementation: Partners work closely with SEEDS to ensure successful program setup and follow-up. A survey will be required at the agreement's conclusion.
