What is DIG?
Durham Interns in Gardening
DIG is a youth-driven, urban farming and leadership development program. This program is available to currently enrolled high school students. The DIG crew work together to accomplish meaningful work that impacts their community, such as maintaining the garden, managing the market garden and farm stand, participating in workshops, cooking healthy meals for one another, increasing food access in their neighborhoods, and engaging in leadership and team building activities.

DIG Crew Members will work outside in most weather, tending our vegetable beds, harvesting produce, packing produce bags, and preparing their own meals!
Check back soon for Summer 2025 applications.
"My most valuable takeaway in the DIG program taught me a lot about hard work and that good things take time."
